About SNAP Estimate

Helping Households Understand Possible SNAP Benefits

SNAP Estimate is an independent benefits estimate tool created to help people understand whether their household may qualify for SNAP and what a possible monthly benefit amount might look like before they apply through their state SNAP office.

SNAP Estimate is not a government agency. It does not approve, deny, issue, or manage SNAP benefits. Your state SNAP office makes the final eligibility and benefit decision.

What SNAP Estimate Does

SNAP Estimate provides a private screening estimate based on information you enter, such as household size, state, monthly income, rent or mortgage, utility costs, dependent care costs, child support paid, and medical expenses for elderly or disabled household members.

The tool is designed to explain the estimate, show calculation notes, provide a document checklist, and point users toward official state SNAP application resources.

What SNAP Estimate Does Not Do

No approvals or denials

The calculator does not approve, deny, or guarantee SNAP eligibility. It only provides an estimate.

No government services

SNAP Estimate is independent and is not operated by USDA, FNS, or any state SNAP agency.

No private identity uploads

The calculator does not require Social Security numbers, EBT numbers, immigration document numbers, or identity document uploads.

Why This Site Exists

SNAP rules can be difficult to understand. Households often want to know how income, rent, utilities, medical expenses, work rules, student rules, and state application steps may affect their situation.

SNAP Estimate was built to make that first step clearer. It gives users a practical estimate, explains why the final amount may differ, and encourages users to apply through official state resources when appropriate.

Start With a Private Estimate

Use the calculator to estimate possible SNAP eligibility and review the result before visiting your state SNAP application resource.
